They last for days at a time. How do i get rid of them?

Tallfox is right. At your age it's most likely growing pains and an extra dose of calcium and potassium should help get rid of it.

go check it out in the doctor's office. mabye u have a blood clotted in your leg.

You need to exercise more. You get cramps from eating before you exercise or if you gaven't exercised in a long time.

You are probably exercising them in a different way then you have for a while. Eat well and remember to stretch before exercising.

go to a therapist and the can help you to work them out to where you dont get them as much and as long and they can tell you whats wrong

One of the most common cause of cramps in your calves is low blood calcium. So, you could try making sure you're getting foods that are high in calcium like milk products, fish with bones like canned sardines or salmon, broccoli. If you don't like any of those, just take a supplement. If that doesn't work, it might be something else you're missing, some other nutrient, like potassium. That's available in orange juice and bananas. There's an organge juice out that, I think it's by Tropicana. It comes in little boxes and has calcium and vitamin D added. You could meet some of your requirements for those nutrients in one little OJ box.

Have your doctor check you out. If they are just leg cramps, there is a medication you can take..my sister takes them.

I will try to find out the name 4 u! =0)

Cramps are often caused from a potassium deficiency. Eat a banana and drink some orange juice. They're loaded with potassium and can help keep the muscle cramps away.

Calcium can help too but you want to stay away from dairy products because the lactic acid can make the cramps worse.

try eating bananas they are rich in potassium, it will help

This happens alot in younger people that exercise often. Eat a banana before you go to bed each night.

That is common when your body gets low on potassium. Take a potassium supplement and eat a lot of bananas, and your cramps should be gone in a day or so.

low potasium.eat more bananas

sounds like growing pains as well as not stretching before exercise. also, eating a banana will help with the muscle cramping.
