Is it true that making a tattoo hurts?!

Question:
Cause I'd like to have one, but I'm a bit afraid.
Answers:
Making a tattoo hurt? Or getting a tattoo? Well if it is getting a tattoo, you it hurts, but it goes away afterwhile. Then it feels like a really good brush burn you got. My suggestion is do some research on the best less painful place to get a tat. I have one on my hip and one on the bottom of my back. The one on my hip bothered me when I wore pants, so, I wore skirts for awhile, and the one on the bottom of my back hurt whenever I tried to sit down! I chose spots on my body that were not easily seen if I decided on a professional job someday. Make sure your tat choice is one you really really want. They don't go away! But making tattoos, I am not sure about that, I never made one!

I don't have a tattoo, but a friend told me it's worse than having a baby! ;)

Yeah they do hurt, but it also depends on where you get them. If you get a tattoo close to the bone (like on your ankle) it hurts more. On your arm, not so much..shoulder blade, yeah. So, really it comes down to where you want it and also how big it is, etc.

i have a couple and if you relax and breath deep it really doesn't hurt. one of mine is on the back of my neck and to tell the truth i was almost asleep when he was finished.

Yes it hurts, but it's more of an annoying pain than a deep one. Sometimes it hits nerves and that feels really weird. It is bearable though.

Then again I have had 2 babies over 8 pounds naturally with a 12 and 10 hour labor- so put that in the mix.

:-)

no it dont hurt that bad

yes it is true realy hurts

it depends what your pain threshold is.
i had one put on my shoulder and it was nothing.
i had the idea that it was going to feel like stabbing needles, but it was absolutely nothing like that.
felt more like electrical warmth!

Tattoos hurt like hell, especially when you get one in a non-fatty part of the body or where the skin is thin or close to the bone. I've also had a baby and while tattoos hurt, it's not even in the same ballpark as childbirth.
