Is it good to be brutely honest at any cost?!

Question:

Answers:
No.

I am a very honest person, but there is such a thing as tact. I will gloss over details that I think would hurt, or put it in a gentle way but not outright lie.

Other Answers:
Not if it can cause hurt or harm to someone.

you may be extremely honest but also use tact.

A certain amount of tact should be used generally, in order to avoid hurt feelings, defensiveness, etc.

I try to be as honest as possible. Sometimes people do get upset. I try not to let that bother me. This does not, however, mean that I'll just blurt things out like, "You sure are ugly."

Yes. One lie usually leads to another and then you are stuck at the end. Another experience of mine is people who lie often forget what they lied about.

maybe not at any cost. i think you should be honest but you should try not to be so blunt. take the long way around to ease the hurt youre going to cause, but at the same time dont send mixed messages. be brutally honest, but try to seek out the positive in negative.

In a ideal world you should be able to be honest. However, people don't always want to hear your honesty. Try sugar coating you honestly. White Lies?

Honesty does not require brutality

NO. BE BRUTALLY HONEST EXCEPT WHEN IT;S NOT IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO BE

Honesty is the best policy, but sometimes it is better just to keep your yap shut if you know the truth will hurt someone. I am not saying lie. I am just saying keep quiet.

Only if you are put in a situation that you must tell your honest opinion. Or if you do something wrong it is absolutely necessary

Brutal honesty is an aspect of brutality, not of honesty. It is just another weapon to hurt people.

The three tests for an utterance:
1) is it true?
2) is it kind?
3) is it necessary?

If something we want to say does not pass at least two of the tests, it is usually better not said.

depends ..i like my uncle cause he tells it like it is ..
if u look a mess or he dont like u then he will say it and make no apologies for it .

But he can be kinda abrassive sometimes so i guess he could use a little tact ..

no. Honesty is usually the best policy but discretion is the better part of valor,

Without being rude about it - Yes. Honesty is always the best policy!
