this is a very hard question for me to ask as it is a little embrassing after i have sex my legs go numb and when im not having sex my legs swell up badly sometimes for instance if i put a piar of socks on if my legs swell it will leave marks on my ankles is there a condition that causes this? there is also pian in my legs after sex not just numbness?

Sounds like maybe a circulatory problem? It would be a very good idea to see your doctor.
I'm just guessing here and i'm no doctor, but it's worse for certain postitions, am i right? My circulation is bad and certain body postitions will make my legs numb/painful/swollen horribly.
I wouldn't mess around with it, and besides - sex is supposed to be enjoyable and fun. Please ask your doctor about it.

Be specific, it is on your feet? Where? Pain maybe a soreness. Swelling is an indicator that is you have too much water in your body. Drink water to remove water. Eat watermelons and drink green tea.
If you are genuinely serious then there's no doubt about going to the doctors, don't be frightened, they see different thing every day. It could save your life. Go girl.

If you are on your back in the missionary position, it could be that your partner is cutting off circulation in the veins (which are closer to your skin than arteries) that are on the inside of your thighs. This will cause blood to backup in your legs. As for the leg pain afterward, is it down the back of your legs? This could be sciatic pain from you laying on your back and butt. Do you have leg pain any other time or just after you have sex? If this sounds like your pain, you could go see a massage therapist (LICENSED) and they can help you with your sciatica.
Sweetheart, problems with your legs could be from a number of different issues. First call your doctor and make an appointment, the swelling could be from poor circulation high levels of salt. Don't be embarrassed be concerned and just think better health better SEX.
