Will Klonopin affect having children?!

Question:
Currently to help me with anxiety and depression, I take low doses of prozac.. and only as needed take .5 mg of Klonopin. I take it the klonopin maybe. once every three months. only when I really need it. I'm worried about having children though. Would this hurt the baby if I am on prozac and need to take a small amount of klonopin every once in a while. I don't think it would.. but I want to be sure. I will ask a doctor before having any children, but I wanted to know if anyone on here would know the answer off hand. I'm don't know what will or will not hurt a baby when you're pregnant. and it really concerns me. Thanks so much.
Answers:
My dear Friends. Don't use any chemicals to control your MIND. For one thing there are side-effects; really bad ones. YES Prozac and klonopin will effect the baby. You need some breathing exercise. Please consult your local chapter of The Art of Living Foundation (A non-profit organization for social change) . The course teaches you to control your emotions through breathing. It will reduce your stress and anxiety and give you a healthy body and mind. Your children will thank you for giving them a quality of life that every new born deserves.

Isn't that a cover for the Church of Scientology? Don't come here spouting that crap. Exercise and vitamins won't cure everything. You people irritate me.

I was on Prozac when I decided to have my son. I had been on it for three years. You cannot take the medication during pregnancy so my doctor took me off of the medication. If you plan on breast feeding, you cannot take any type of antidepressant while you are nursing. The doctor will run several tests when you decide it is time. Until then, I suggest you take some type of birth control. Depo Provers was great for me! You get a shot once a month or every three months depending on what you and your doctor decide. I did not have a cycle for seven years. Keep in mind that you may have to wait six months before you conceive. Especially if you take birth control. I hope this helps you. The next time you see your doctor, ask him/her if you could meet alone without your parents. I assume you are younger and you are afraid of what your parents would think if you asked the question.

All medications that you take can and do have an affect on unborn children. However, each medication has a different affect on the fetus. Some affects are so minor that they do not affect the babies health in general. Some medications can result in abnormalities and birth-defeats.
