Can you get HIV by swallowing semen? if so what is the risk?!

Question:

Answers:
Sexual transmission occurs when there is contact between sexual secretions of one partner with the rectal, genital or oral mucous membranes of another. So yes- it is very possible to get HIV this way.

Other Answers:
Only if you have open sores in your mouth or esophagus because it dies when it hits the acid in your stomach. Even then it's unlikely because there isn't a high concentration of CD4 cells in those locations. That being said, you can get herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis and a most other STDs from blowing someone without protection.

You can definitely contract STD's by swallowing.

Safe sex, people. Please.

The answer seems like yes to me, but I'm not an expert. However, below is a website that should answer all of your questions.

HIV is spread most commonly in these ways:

By having sex with an infected partner. The virus can enter the body through the lining of the vagina, vulva, penis, rectum, or mouth during sex.
Through contact with infected blood. Before blood was screened for evidence of HIV infection and before heat-treating techniques were introduced to destroy HIV in blood products, such as factor 8 and albumin, HIV was transmitted through transfusions of contaminated blood or blood components. Today, because of blood screening and heat treatment of blood derivatives, the risk of getting HIV from such transfusions is extremely small.
By sharing needles or syringes (such as during injection drug use), which can be contaminated with very small quantities of blood from someone infected with the virus. It is rare, however, for a patient to give HIV to a health care worker or vice-versa by accidental sticks with contaminated needles or other medical instruments.
During pregnancy or birth. Approximately one-quarter to one-third of all untreated pregnant women infected with HIV will pass the infection to their babies. HIV also can be spread to babies through the breast milk of mothers infected with the virus. If the mother takes the drug AZT during pregnancy, she can significantly reduce the chances that her baby will be infected with HIV. If doctors treat mothers with AZT and deliver their babies by cesarean section, the chances of the baby being infected can be reduced to a rate of one percent.
Having a sexually transmitted disease such as syphilis, genital herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, or bacterial vaginosis, which appears to make people more susceptible to and at higher risk for acquiring HIV infection during sex with infected .yes swallowing semen can give you hiv.

ABSOLUTLY YES. You dont even need to swallow the semen to aquire an infection. Under the tongue there is a cluster of very rich very permeable (easy to pass in and out of) blood vessels. These blood vessels are very important to some people with cardiac conditions because they can take certain fast acting medications under the tongue to lower their blood pressure in an emergency. These drug particles are much larger then the HIV virus, and still they pass in quickly and easily, the virus would have no trouble. Some people have asked what about saliva killing the virus. New studies have shown that saliva can have a slowing reaction when HIV infected materials are taken orally, but it DOES NOT PREVENT infection. PLEASE PRACTICE SAFE SEX. If you partner has HIV and doesnt care enough to protect you, find another partner. I have included the references to two health journals for those that want more information.

Yes, because HIV is rich in the areas of protain content like in semen! When you swallow semen you get HIV if you have microscopic cuts in the mouth. However, if there is no cuts in the mouth then you can,t get HIV.

It's risky in that you mait be having small microscopic cuts and get infeected!
