Answers:
Eczema is an allergy to either food or environment. Try to determine what is causing your flare ups and eliminate the food or substance as best as you can. Some of the most common food allergies are milk, soy, eggs, nuts, corn. Chocolate as well as food preservatives can also aggrevate the condition.

Other Answers:
lot's of time in the sun, I've heard chlorine in pools helps too.

there is no way to get rid of it..just change things that you use on your skin and the fabric of your clothes should only be 100% cotton

I'm not sure, but when using lotion, ONLY use Aveeno products.the fragrant free ones. They are great for the skin. Also, invest in a tube of cortisone and apply to your skin every night. You may want to see a doctor, they can prescribe you something stronger to help the inflammation.

Also, Chickweed, Chamomile, Calendula, St. John's Wort, and Golden seal can be applied topically to the skin to promore healing of cracked, painful, or dry skin.

I have eczema.

Nooooo, chlorine in the pool is horrible for eczema. I went swimming during a flare-up and my skin got worse!

Chlorine drys out the skin and you want to keep your skin as moisturized as possible. Try rubbing fragrance-free mineral oil in the shower/bath, then moisturize immediately afterwards with Eucerin. Another product I really like is Vaseline Creamy on the really dry parts. Works wonders.

Stop using laundry detergent.

Wear latex gloves when you would come into contact with abrasive substances - washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, etc.

Stick to loose cotton clothing.

Absolutely no perfumes or scents in anything you use. Including hair products.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

My boyfriend actually takes Sulfur pills when his flares up and it seems to calm it. He bought them at a Nutrition Center.
