I've tried alot of feminine wash, and my genital area became dry and itchy, because the natural ph was destroyed and it is more prone to infections. Never douche.

It's only bad when you do it all the time. Anything in excess is bad. I have really long periods, like right now I have been on my period for over 4 months. It's just normal for my body. However, since I bleed so much when my periods are finished my doctors tells me to douche so I can clean out any old blood that might be hanging out in there. I have been doing this since I was 12, but I only douche about 4 times a year. I would say every once in awhile would be okay, just don't go crazy.
