What are some common signs of diabetes?!

Question:
I am always extremely tired after meals, and I get hungry every 2-3 hours and have heart palpitations, weak arms, wobbly legs, slight dizziness and usually start sweating a little. I'm also pretty tired during the day too. I went to my doc 3 weeks ago before the problem really started and my blood glucose level was 78. Any ideas?

What are the symptoms of diabetes?
People who think they might have diabetes must visit a physician for diagnosis. They might have SOME or NONE of the following symptoms:

Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Unexplained weight loss
Extreme hunger
Sudden vision changes
Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
Feeling very tired much of the time
Very dry skin
Sores that are slow to heal
More infections than usual.
Nausea, vomiting, or stomach pains may accompany some of these symptoms in the abrupt onset of insulin-dependent diabetes, now called type 1 diabetes.

when your wounds arent easily healing and you get dizzy most of the times

/ #fatigue (you're always tired then.)
/ #increased hunger or thirst (hmm.)
x #increased urination (you don't have this one.)
x #slow healing of cuts or sores (.)
x #blurred vivion (.)
/ #numbness in feet and hands (.)

You may or may not have diabetes. Watch your diet and refrain from eating sweet foods or carbo rich foods for this can be conveted to sugar. Ask your doc about this.

Class report

From my experience having a diabetic father, I think your blood glucose level is only borderline. Before you go into medication, you should consider a diabetic diet like avoid sweet stuff, take exercise, eat small meals.Eat healthily foods that are not too high in carb, eat more high fibre foods like beans, nuts, potatoes and etc. You can ask from your doc a list of do and donts for diabetic. All the other signs your body is experiencing may be a warning of some other health problems and your doc should be able to advise you better. I suggest you take some supplements of vitamins or iron if you are weak as you mentioned you have wobbly legs and so on. I suggest also you sleep longer hours. If you are weak you should take more protein too.Get you doc to give you some blood tests to rule out any serious health problems before its too late. Better be safe than to be sorry.Take care of your health especially if you are still young and you have a long road before you. May God Bless you.
