what is lactose intolerance? how does it affects the toddlers?!

Question:
my baby boy has just experienced diarrhea a few days ago, and the findings of the doctor is that the change of his milk from one brand to another caused the diarrhea. have you guys out there have something to share with?
Answers:
lactone intolerant: no dairy products, especially milk. Changing of milk shoudn't cause diarrhea, unless the milk is old or contaminated. I think Soy Milk is safe, but it doesn't taste that good as regular milk

Other Answers:
Lactose intolerent means unable to digest milk and its products. Try soy, milk is for cows.

Yeah, no dairy! ! ! That will make his stomach upset and that is what causes diarrhea. Watch White Chicks [like, the first 20 minutes or so] and you should have a fair idea of being lactose intolerant does to you!

My step-son's twin brother died three days after he was born because he was allergic to his formula. It's not something to mess with. Find a pediatrician who can help.

Changing brands shouldn't have anything to do with lactose intolerance. Milk is milk. Otherwise, change back. It's OK to experiment on your children. Just try new things in small amounts and watch results. My son is allergic to a dozen different foods, so we experimented a lot when he was little.
