Answers:
Has your thyroid problem been diagnosed by a doctor or is it just your own explanation? The thyroid hormone is available in a pill for those who don't have enough naturally. The doctor will monitor the amount of the hormone in your bloodstream by doing frequent blood tests. The medical term for what you lack is "TSH" for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. It's a cheap prescription, if you really need it. There's a kind of seaweed called "kelp" that is marketed as helping to boost your metabolism. The reason it works is because it contains natural iodine (as iodized salt does) and that helps your body make more TSH. But BE CAREFUL. I seriously f***ed up my body by taking too much kelp supplements. Little did I know I had a genetic predisposition to get Grave's Disease (a form of low thyroid). In conclusion, see a doctor if you think you need a thyroid supplement. It's a cheap generic drug.

Other Answers:
cut back on your portion sizes, and make sure you are on the right dose of medication by having your TSH level checked by your doctor.

you are still taking in more calories than you're burning.

aren't you taking thyroid medication??

if you have hypothyroid you should be taking levothyroxine if you arent already. with that, you should have the same metabolism as a normal person unless your dose is too low. some people just have trouble losing weight.

Do you take your thyroid med's. It really should even it out.

first i do not see your age or how much you feel that you need to lose. number one talk to your dr. get his or her advice. maybe they can help point you in the right and safest direction for you. i know that any sudden change in your diet, and if you are on meds for your condition can hinder not help. talk to your dr.
