Several years back, I was staying at a hotel with my parents (we were on vacation) and Dad farted up the bathroom so badly, that when I went to use it, I could hear the people in the other room complaining about "something died in the air vent. Possibly a human body." What happened was that the way the ventilation system was in this particular hotel was that apparently, all of the hotel bathroom ducts were connected to one another, so that any farts could be smelled in the next room.
