Can some fashion-savvy people help me pick out an outfit?!
Question:
Tomorrow afternoon I am visiting Emerson College in Boston. I want to look nice, and I cannot decide what to wear.
I am a 17 year old boy, I have messy brown hair, blue eyes, and a pretty decent body.
I have two outfits picked out, but if neither of them sound good, please offer some other suggestions! I have A LOT of clothes, so I'm sure I'll have whatever you suggest.
Outfit Option #1:
-Light blue long sleeved shirt (sleeves rolled up) with a green t-shirt over it.
-My Lucky denim shorts (they are pretty long for shorts)
-Gray and lime green belt
-Black and lime green New Balance sneakers
-really short white socks
-my obnoxious aviator sunglasses
Outfit Option #2
-Dark blue t-shirt with a "destroyed" gray Henley (isn't that what they're called?) with a blue emblem on the right side
-Really baggy dark brown Abercrombie and Fitch shorts
-Really short gray socks
-Gray, white and red New Balance sneakers
-normal sunglasses. not very tinted

No offense but if you came in to my college dressed like that, you wouldn't get far. Think of it like a job interview for your education. Even if you think no one is noticing, WE DO! You should wear a pair of light blue jeans and a blue button down shirt. Not too dressed up but it shows you care. When students come to see us for admissions, we actually take notes on how they present themselves to us.

Outfit 2. I definitely don't like the whole denim and lime green idea.somehow it doesn't seem to fit.
2, number 1 sounds too young and you want to look collegiate.
option number two sounds good to me.. if you want to show your personality, #2, if you really want to look sophisticated and look like you care(to get accepted or whatever), go with #1.
I think you should not wear shorts and not so many "busy" things going, like tags, labels and no more than two different colors.NO Obnoxious anything! I wish you "coolness" on your visit.
You'd want something simple and sophisticated.
Wear any colored vest over a long-sleeved white polo. (I suggest blue to match your eyes!)
Then wear either brown khaki pants or black denim.
And finally, white sneakers.
Add watches or silver necklaces or anything.
(By the way, how come you threw in so much GREEN in outfit one?!?!)

Ok first, I want you to take those denim shorts and BURN THEM. I think I almost just had a heart attack. No jean shorts.ever, EVER. Not acceptable and as a side note you will never get laid in a pair of jean shorts. Second I want you to put on outfit #2 and if the socks come up an inch past your shoe.burn those too. Third, trade the normal sunglasses for the "obnoxious" aviators. This outfit will suffice. My suggestion besides what you have would be the A&F shorts with either a short sleeve cotton polo.white or blue or a button down collared shirt with sleeves rolled up (the casual kind) - you know what I'm talking about right? so ya that and the NB sneakers (Gray and white). Mess up hair and wear aviators on head. K, go strut your stuff ;)
I agree with the person above. These outfits are very, very casual and you will not be taken seriously. Do not wear shorts or tees.
