All those who know bout skin and all..?!


Question:
My skin has always been pimple free. I used Dove soap on my face for two months coz it seemed dry .Quit three months ago. Am 21. Could it be the cause of the zits on my face? Or could it be I eat more meat. What should I do ?

Hey there, here is a good advise for you, try not to use soap, even if it is advertized all over, still soap is not good for your skin. Buy some cleansing gel, cream of the same producer. Wash your face with clean mineral water. Apply mask once or twice a week(depends on the mask). A good thing is to visit a cosmetologist. And i do not agree that food do not affect your skin. It does, for ex. if you eat lots of sweet and chocolate tihngs, and salty and spicy you;ll have more pimples. Do not worry just take some time, and you;ll be fine.

First of all don't use soap on your face. It's too drying and irritating. It's much better to use a gentle, water-soluble cleanser that removes dirt and makeup without drying your face.

Second, your diet has no effect on your skin. (Unless it happens to be a food that you're allergic to, like shellfish or chocolate)

I highly recommend reading the book "The Beauty Bible" by Paula Begoun. You'll be very glad you did!

It could be because your metabolism is changing and your hormone balance is too. This is often the cause of female skin problems. I like two products for my skin care, both of which have salacytic acid in them rather than benzoyl peroxide (which can dry and cause more damage than good). I like to use the medicated apricot scrub from st yves and also the nutrogena face wash for sensitive skin (its clear and either blue or red, depending on your skin sensitivity).
these two products should be used one at a time, do not use both of them!! try one and if it doesnt work, wait 3 or 4 days then try the other. but try each one for at least 2 weeks before switching.

Pimples or zits are caused by a lot of factors. It can be due to stress or by eating too oily or hot food. Even chocolates and cheese give rise to pimples. Also constipation plays a major role. So drink lots of water (atleast 3 ltrs a day), eat lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, exercise for an hr to clear up the pores as you sweat and the blood circulation in the body increases. Apply a paste of sandlewood powder, honey and lime to stop and fade away any marks of zits or pimples. Its all age related. When u reach 25 it will all go away naturally. So dont worry and try to remain happy and stress free.
