Sorry< I don't think there are any hints. You just need to just practice practice practice

Other Answers:
Wear them around the house and in time you'll get used to them. Practice going up and down steps-that's the biggie.

SAME HERE. lol. thanks for asking i guess ill use some advice!! thanks

practice-and yea-Down stairs is tricky-you get used to it-you just have bad balance. Buy a good pair too-not the 19.99 ones either.

I didn't know they were supposed to be comfortable? But they DO make your legs look fantastic, so keep it up ;) My fiance doesn't wear huge heals, she usually sticks with a medium lift and doesn't have many comfort issues. Good luck.

walk aroud the house in them you will get used to them later it worked for me

Try to keep your back straight, and 'shoot from the hip' when you walk, keep your legs straight and move from the hip joint. That always helps.

come to my house and practice - promise to help

Sometimes, it really does come down to comfortable, or fashion. Sometimes you can't have both. High heels can suck if you wear them long enough. You have to ask yourself which is more important, looking good or being comfortable.

You can do somethings to make them more comfortable, but they may still hurt your feet. You can buy little pads to put in the toe to keep it from giving your pinky and big toe blisters. Same for the backs. You can buy those gel pads for the bottom of the shoe to give extra padding to the whole shoe.
That's about it.

1 word, BALANCE. =)

Ask some oe to teach you how to walk in them

also practice jumping on a trampoline in them. this is VALUABLE training!

i'm no girl. but i think that you should just get used to wearing them.. in that way. you'll soon be comfortable wearing them..

Yeah, practice walking in them. The more you do, the more comfortable you'll feel in public.
And if you're looking for a little extra support, I just bought these gel inserts for women's shoes (like heels or any other shoes) that just go into the front of the shoe to support the ball of your foot. SO comfy! My favorite shoes don't make my feet ache anymore!! :) You can buy them at Target or Walgreen's or anywhere like that

For the most part, heels are uncomfortable and unnatural, but we love to wear them anyways!! When you are walking in heels you do not walk heel-toe like you normally would, it is more of a flat downward walk that should only make one clicking noise when you step. It might take practice to get the walk down and it you also might have to build up resistance to heels. The first few times I wore heels my feet, knees, and ankles hurt. Now, it is usually just the ball of my foot that hurts after wearing heels for a day.
If you can take them off mid-day for 10 minutes or so that might help with the pain.

Start with a smaller heel and work your way up. And practice does make perfect. I remember my daughter wobbling with her first pair, but now she has no problem wearing them.

Heels are not for everyone. But if you really want to wear them practice makes perfect. Try walking around the house or cleaning in them. Heels are something that you have to get used to.

yes, practice practice!

Ok, yes wear them around the house where there is plenty of things to grab onto. I love wearing platforms and 7 in heels so here is what I do.

Make sure when purchasing the heel that you have at least 1/2 size larger so when your feet swell you'll have room and they won't ache so bad.
Get padding or arch's for the shoes
Make sure to break in your shoes!
Walk on the ball of your toes, toe heel toe heel
Might want to take ballet classes, that helped me out alot. Or some form of dance class, it really does help!
Also might want to invest in shoe stretchers depending on what type of heel and how they fit, they help keep your heels stretched to your size when not wearing them.

When your feet are achy soak them in salts, and foot soaks. And do not put lotion on your feet before putting on your heels.you'll slide out :)

I am SO not the girl to ask- I own only 3 prs of high heels, 5 if you count my boots, too- but over a dozen pairs of sneakers. I'm 5'11" (almost)- I don't need the extra height! Only when I'm dressed to kill do I go for heels.

You need to practice. Its just like riding a bike. Wear a pair you would wear most around the house. This way you get used to wearing heels and also break them in. The worst thing is when you wear a pair of shoes and within an hour your feet are killing you! Just be aware of going over street grates, gravel, and some marble or marble-like floors as they can be slick. Stairs can be intersting also. With practice, though, you will become a pro in no time!

Just walk as if you are the last sexy woman left on earth. Walk like you know that all the men are watching you when you walk.I do it! When I walked in my office this morning, MY FEET WERE killing me.... but the world will never know it..LOL

Experience.

I find it helps to lean back slightly as you walk, to take slightly longer strides, and to make a conscious effort to walk heel to toe. I know that sounds obvious but I think that's why so many women trip. And watch your posture! Nothing looks worse than hunching over to keep your balance.
I think practicing will help a lot, too.
Good luck!

Don't bend your knees! The single biggest mistake that girls make when trying to walk in heels is walking differently to when they're in flat shoes - There is no difference to walking in heels. Just walk normally! Don't look down - if you focus on your walking, you're more likely to trip over. Start with a small, chunky heel - it will give you more stability when you walk. Once you're more comfortable with walking, move up and up to thinner and higher heels.

i had the same problem. the answer is simple you have to walk in it in home and everywhere through 3-4 days. You will have a lot of hurts but after a week time you will feel in it more comfortable than in normal schoes

i do a catwalk when on heels. =) i have a greater balance doing that, than having to walk the normal way. most people suggested that you ought to practice. yup, that's the key to be at ease when on heels. use kitten heels at home. just walk around and soon enough you'll feel like you're just wearing flip-flops. =)
when shopping, take your time. don't buy on impulse. you might get a bad fit. that'll not only hurt your feet, you might also get sore legs and hurt your lower back.

practise. home, as much as posisble. increase heel height slowly
buy good brands
