calorie's how do i watch them.. and how do i cut back on them?!

Question:
Okay this goes along with my other question, since i am getting this in alot of my answer. How do i monitor my calorie intake.. and foods should i tend to stay away from.. Not just fatty or sugar foods, but like should i cut back on the rice and bread i eat.. should i eat more beef, or more fish.. what would be a good diet
Answers:
firstly, be concerned at your food intake. Do this by checking the Nutritional information Fact at the back of the product label.
secondly, replace pork to beef & avoid eating the fatest part as much as possible.
thirdly, avoid eating chicken skin.
fourthly, reduce rice intake-half cup is good or replace it with whole wheat bread. the rest follows soon- (i'll modify)

Take a look at your portions. When you omit certain foods, your body may lack nutrients. If you deny your body something you really like, then it is hard to keep to a 'diet', you may give up too soon.

Cutting the sugar is best, they are 100% empty calories. Look, Just cut the high Glycemic carbs and saturated fat items, eat everything else in moderation.
If you don't know about the glycemic index, look it up in Yahoo search. Good luck

My thoughts

Try to stay away from processed foods. Such as milk, bread, and pastas. eat 6 times a day "small portions".

4 years ago I did something similar to this and worked out on a regular basis and lost 45 pounds in appox 1 & half months.

there is nothing like a good or a bad diet. eat everything in moderation. avoid red meat and eat fish as far as possible. walk and excercise regularly.

Read the labels on EVERYTHING. There are many good websites, like fitday.com that will tell you the calories for foods without labels. Many restaurants have websites with nutrition info, too. Usually things that have lots of sugar or carb-y stuff like breads will be loaded with calories.
