I pulled a muscle from my arm what is the best way to treat it?!

I has loading furniture on to a moving truck and I think I lifted wrong and now when I raise my arm or try to carry anything with this are I just get this pain. I think I pulled a muscle or something.

Alternate between ice and a heating pad and Naproxin Sodium which is generic for Aleve will help tremendously with the discomfort!

Ice, and don't move it.

massage you arm. dont use it though and rest it.

Take Advil or other ibuprofen. Sit in an Epsom Salt bath; great for all types of muscle fatigue and strain. Take a homeopathic medicine called Arnica Montana which alleviates pain and prevents bruising. Use a heating pad.

keep your arm still and take ibuprofen. That will take the swelling down

apply some Arnica jell and let it rest awhile

i did that 2 my leg playing soccer. is it swelling? if so, put ice on it. then put a heating pad on it. icy hot patches are perfect for this sort of thing. then stretch your arm. it keeps the muscle from becoming stiff and hurting more.

VITAMIN "M"(Motrin 800mg)

At least thats what they give us military guys..pretty much for everything.

rest it

Oh and ICE for 24 -48 hours at least 15 minutes three times a day

and HEAT after that 15 min twice a day.

After that try to slowly and gradually rebuild strength with light work outs.

But if you totally tore it, surgery may be your only hope.
