rum

they used oil of clove when i got dry socket so i bet if you used it before it was that bad; it would work great. it's a natural anesthetic.

Vicodin and a pack of frozen corn.and a nice bottle of Captain Morgan--sail me a way!

CLOVE OIL TASTES NASTY BUT IT WORKS BY NUMBING

ulcer/teething gel

Hydrocodin. Next question.

Vicodin was the ONLY thing that helped me.sorry :( good luck.

A lot of pain med.Vicoden

I drank about two gallons of NesQuick (which is really fattening but it seemed to help a lot)

Rinsing with warm salt water helps reduce swelling. If you can handle it, clove oil directly on the gums acts as an anesthetic (or find an OTC application at your drugstore).

I had my wisdom teeth out all at the same time and was good with just ibuprofen after the surgery. I went home and slept right afterwards though. It really wasn't anywhere near as bad as I had heard it would be. Maybe I was just lucky.

Don't do it. Worst pain of my life and none of that garbage hydrocodene they gave me worked. If they prescribe hydrocodene ask for something stronger cause it does not help too much, just makes you a little sleepy.

They had to go in and cut my wisom teeth out and I was wide awake during the operation. My wisdom teeth had roots that formed like a fish hook into my jaw bone so they had to cut them out with this weird looking drill / saw. I still have the left over bottoms of the roots floating loosely in my jaw bone area cause they couldn't extract them. Absolutely MISERABLE experience.

The pain will ease in about 2-3 days though. Just get something good from the doctor for the pain not HYDROCODENE, ask for Vicodin but hydrocodene is NOT the answer.
Agrippa is right, I was awake under the local and not general anesthesia so if possible get a ride there and get knocked out. I had to drive myself.

I was really lucky and had a great oral surgeon. The swelling was gone in two days and I was so doped up on drugs when I got out, I was pretty much in some alternate reality for the first 24 hours. The pain killers they prescribe you should really do the trick for the most part. FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T USE ANY STRAWS! Don't make any sucking motions with your mouth for at least a week because it could open the wounds up.

I find the people that get local anaesthetic have the worst stories and those who go general have the best. So try to splurge and get the general anaesthetic.

that is the quickest things I know of which are ice and Lortab but if you are trying to stay homeopathic which I can't blame you then try going to homeopathicremedies.com
I am sure there is something sorry I just not sure what else there is
best wishes

Las drugas, amigo.
(Vicodin!.and actually, a hot compress will feel better than the cold pack)

Put a teabag in the back of your mouth and bite down. The antiseptic in the tea will help stop the bleeding and swelling. It will also help reduce the pain.

I slept a lot and watched movies to take my mind off of it (besides, of course, the vicodin and ice). Also for some reason I really liked eating scrambled eggs cut really small once I could re-introduce solid food back into my diet.

Stay as upright as possible!! Seriously don't lay down flat AT ALL for at least 3 days!! Longer if it throbs when you try . Don't talk to much, moving your jaws around will make them sore. Homeopathic arnica worked wonders for me. And just rest, lots of it!!
Good luck!!

Have a friend or family to drive you to the dentist and stay with you for at least 3 hours after the procedure is done. You may be too numb to drive. Pain medicine and ice packs are good, just remember to use them. Don't suck on any thing for the first 24 hours, such as use straw or smoke. Remember to change your gauze as often as you can. Rinse your mouth with Luke warm salt water the next day, this helps healing. The few following days, you may want to have mash potato, yogurt or some thin soup for your meals. One thing will work as magic is Ice Cream, they help healing and they make you feel full.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed when I returned home from College for Easter Break. (22 years ago!) It was Good Friday. I did not give up anything for lent that year.I figured this was enough of a sacrifice and I was not really going to be able to enjoy my Easter ham dinner anyway! LOL

I found rum helped,

and time.

Sorry your hurting hope your feeling better soon.

This too shall pass.
