i have brown hair but iv dyed it a few times n it has a hint of red no matter wh!

Question:
how do i get rid of it
Answers:
leave it be. red hair is sexy.

Other Answers:
try a brown rinse or toner. if that doesnt work you may just have to let your hair grow out.

bleach it blonde then die it the color you want its the only way

keep growing it without dying it ?

its normal for browns to have red under tones in their hair I sure do when the light hits my hair it all looks red but its really dark brown I haven't dyed my hair but I know where your coming from my sister dyes her hair and still has the brassy-ness from the red stick out so it makes dying hard to get the exact color you should use colors for dark brown and brown hair that won't bring out the brassy ness that causes the hint of red in your hair try use a blue shampoo its by Generics i believe it will take down the brassy ness and give you less of a noticable red hope this helps :)

Your hair obviously has red undertones in it. to counteract these red tones use a product that is an ash color.

those shampoos for brown hair work well

experience.yes it happened to me too

i have the same problem with mine-even though i had went darker i still get these red tones. some hair just holds on to the red. the only way to get rid of it (if you don't like it is to go lighter-professionally) but then you risk damaging your hair over a long period of time.

You are like me. Instead of fighting with this, I decided to encourage it. Now I have red hair and in fact, it looks great too. If you have a hint of red in your hair, I am sure that you will look awesome with red hair. Try it and you will love it. I am not talking about orange red, I am talking about warm burgundy or mahogony. The other alternative is to color your hair black, which I do not recommend.

maybe leave it? I have brown hair and i dyed mine too, the colours gone now and I havnt dyed it again for ages. I also have a hint of red in my hair. I think it looks nice.

go to sally beauty supply if there is one close to you. They have ways to make sure that the red won't show through. There colors are 10 times better than the box ones at the stores, plus they have different volumes you can use. I think that the ones in the boxes only have ten volumes, which just deposites the color. Seriously though check out Sally's someone there will help guide you in the direction of a good color, they are really great there! : )
