Best way to apply eyeliner on almond-shaped eyes?!

Question:
I have small, wide-set asian eyes, and I'm afraid that using eyeliner all the way around the rim of the eyelid will make my eyes look smaller. Anyone else out there have this problem? Is there a good colour to use (i.e. dark brown instead of black), should I apply to only part of the eyelid, or what?

Thanks!

Application Technique For The Liquid EyeLiner:
Test, on the back of your hand, the amount of pressure you should apply.Unless you are a real artist, it is best to steady your elbow on a flat surface.Work from the inside of the eye to the outside corner and keep the line light and even.If you stop at the corner of the eyes, the effect will be round and wide-eyed;if you continue the line and sweep it up and out, you would get a more exotic look. Finally smudge the edges with a cotton bud to soften them.
Application Technique For The Pencil Eyeliner:
Pencils can be used in the same manner to define or extend the shape of the eyes, but they give a softer, more natural line.Keep them sharpened and ready for use, as blunted or broken points can spoil the whole effect.

i have almond shaped eyes

use brown eyeliner, and only line the outer three fourths of the eye. it will open them up

1.if u have a attractive eyes like brown eye ball like tat it is better u don't put any eyeliner.
2.u put in a almond shape

directly under your eyes from nose end to out

Apply eyeliner to the bottom and the top of the eye and extend the eyeliner just past the corner of the eye. This really works. I read this in Seventeen mag and I have almond-shaped eyes. I really like this look.

put a very thin line of liner inorder to enhance your eyes sice they are almond shaped eyes.

Use white eyeliner too - that surprisingly opens up your eyes. I've seen it used on the bottom eyelid, and it's worked.
Also, don't rim your eyes on the inside of the eyelid - try and do it on the outside, where your eyelashes are. It takes a steady hand and lots of practice to make it look good, but it's worth it.
