what if you hate liver? Does that mean you're doomed to be a vegetarian?
Tried donating blood the other day, but it's the third time in a row that I couldn't donate due to low iron. (Blood had to be at 12.5 or something and I was 12.3)
Think I need to change my eating patterns too.

Liver, any of the green leafy vegetables like spinach, collard greens, turnip greens, red meats, SOME fruits, avacados, you could also take vitamin supplements like one a day plus iron, I've heard of people mixing iron oxide in water and drinking it ( rusty water) but I really think there are better ways of getting iron in your diet.

if you don't eat the right foods you could take the iron pill supplement to get all you need in case you are not getting it from your food. but here is a helpful website

I take iron pills. It is the best thing when you do not eat a lot in the first place.

Fruits and vegetables have almost no iron, it's amazing the ignorance spread around here.

Liver and mussels.

I take a multivitamin with 100% iron included in the afternoon, and then take a 15mg iron supplement at night that has 100% iron daily intake. If you are not vegan/vegatarian, I suggest eating steak/red meat 3-4 times a week. Spinach is another excellant source. Frosted Mini-Wheats have 100% of your daily intake, too, so try that in the morning as a snack during the day.
