I found a dead deer, Did it die from Bird flu ?!
Question:
It's head was smashed and had tire tracks on it, I couldn't tell if it had a runny nose.
Answers:
From your description I'd say it was run over. So no bird flu.
But it might be a good precaution if you just generally stayed away from all and sundry dead animals. Just to get in the habit.
By the way, so far people have only picked up bird flu from birds, not from any other animal despite the fact that other animals (e.g. cats) can get it. Don't worry too much.
Other Answers:
If you didn't assay it for H5N1 influenza, I guess we'll never know.
WELL IT DID NOT HAVE ''LEAD POSIONING'' FROM A BULLET.
AND YOU DO NOT KNOW IF THE SMASHED HEAD AND TIRE TRACKS WERE POST
MORTEM.
BUT ELK, MOOSE AND DEER ARE CARRIERS OF ""MAD COW"" AND YOU SHOULD BE CAREFUL. THERE ARE SOME OUT BREAKS IN THE LOWER 48 STATES..HENCE CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL FISH AND GAME
