Pneumonia refers to the inflammation of the lungs. It is one of the most serious infectious diseases. The disease assumes alarming proportions if both the lungs are affected; this condition is called double pneumonia in common parlance.

Having double pnuemonia is not a good thing. Having it twice is hard on the lungs. I hope you took her to the Dr.

pneumonia is a very serious disease.bacterial or viral causes. Pneumonia 2X in 7 months indicates something is wrong. This disease is a killer of both children and older folks.usually healthy adults rarely get pneumonia unless they have debilitating disease or immune system compromise. Pneumonia is a opportunistic disease.strikes when the body/immune system is weakened, normally. A few people have predispositions to pneumonia and must be very careful when they get sick, even with a cold. IF the pneumonia is bacterial (Diplococcus Pneumonia), then antibiotic of choice is usually erythromyacin. IF viral, no meds available, must rely on immune system taking care of it. This is nothing to mess around with.

I hope you are somewhere where you can get your daughter seen by a paediatrician (doctor for children). There could be any number of reasons for why your daughter has been so sick for a second time. I suspect that the underlying cause of the first bout of pneumonia was not picked up. If you do not live in a city I suggest you go visit a relative who does, and take her to your relatives GP. Either that or go to a different GP who has come from a big centre where he/she has seen more.

A mother of two children who were both very sick in the first 10 years of their life.

It's bad to get pnemoniua at all. They have a shot that they can give to help stop pneumonia. I dont know if they can give it to children, but it's something i would look into.
