During a physical, doctor turned off lights and checked my eyes with a bright li!

Question:
During this test he checked my blood pressure three times, each time he turned the lights off and made me stare at one spot on the wall, while he took a light and moved it from around my head directly in front of my eyes. When he was finished he ordered a ct of my brain, but would not explain.
Answers:
Maybe checking the contraction/dilation reflex of the pupil. Also sometimes doctors examen the back of the retina, it reveals certain conditions in the brain.

Why haven't you asked your docotr?

Looking for brain damage, signs of hemorrhage, The scan will confirm his suspicions or give you a bill of health. Sometimes there are signs , but they are not conclusive so he takes the scan to prove him wrong. A friend of mine had his doctor operate for tumors, turned out all 3 were , boy was he upset.

He wanted to see how your eyes would respond to the light -- if they would change with the light or not. It wounds like you might have head damage, or that you had a very high or very low blood pressure.

Doctors don't usually "not explain". If he continues to "not explain" find yourself another doctor. If you feel strange about what he did, then make a consulation with another doctor, and ask his opinon. It can never hurt to have a second medical opinion.

He was looking at the vessels in your eye to determine if you had any damage from high blood pressure.

He was checking how your pupils respond to light. Normally, they should constrict (get small) on both sides when you shine light into one eye. If one of your pupils didn't constrict, it could be a sign of a problem somewhere in your brain (like a hemorrhage or aneurysm), which could be why he ordered the CT.

If your doctor refuses to explain why he orders certain tests, you should confront him about this. If he still continues to refuse to explain himself, you might want to consider finding another doctor.
