I need some answers regarding a cyst on the brain.?!
Question:
I have a niece 18 years old that has just been told she has a cyst on the brain she is going to a neuro specialist. But she is in Oklahoma and I am in California. I am really stressed about this and hoping someone can help me. Just to understand this better.

My brother had the same problem when he was 10, also my sister when she was 3 years old, that happen in Guatemala, and in the 80's. I think after 20 years the technology have most knowledge, but even at that time and in a country with bad medical resources in that time, my sister and brother did really good. My sister now is mother of 3, my brother unfortunately past away but was in a fire (he was firefighter and he die in a call trying to rescue 2 kids, nothing related with the cyst). Just relax, there is some medicine to treat her and there is not surgery needed.

More info needed from you. Where is cyst? Do they know if it's growing? Details matter for this one. :)
Additional: I was thinking if it is a cyst on the "peneal gland" that is in the middle of the brain, it is a common cyst that many people that have migrain head aches are found to have. Funny thing is that doctors don't seem to think that either have anything to do with each other even though on chat/forum sites about peneal gland cysts most people say they had the brain scan that found the cyst due to the migrains.
Anyway, if the cyst isn't growing, there probably isn't a huge threat. But I'm not a doctor, just a person who have family and friends with cysts on/in their brains.
