If you're unconscience, and thrown into water, will you drown unconsciencely or!

Question:
I'm just wondering if your body will awaken you because the urge to breathe is so strong, or if you will just suck in the water and drown? Maybe it depends how unconscience you are?? For example, in a coma or just hit in the head with a baseball bat?
Answers:
Would definately think it depeneded on how "unconscious you were, if you were comatose for sever medical reasons, I would think the shock from lack of oxygen wouldn't be severe enough to wake you up. Now, if your state was caused from something a bit less severe.like a night of way too much drinking, or possibly a small blow to the head, then I think the shock of the water/ lack of oxygen would be enough to wake you up.

I'm no doctor, so dont go trying any of this crap please.

It depends on what has rendered you unconscious.

Thats A Really Good Question. Its Kinda Got Me Thinking..

you will die.

You'll probably drown because you'll be breathing, just breathing in water instead of air.

GOT ME THINKING 2!

It would depend on the depth of unconsciousness. If you were only slightly dazed, hitting the assumabley cold water might be enough to snap you out of it. Otherwise, your body would continue to make you breath normally and you would inhale water and drown without waking.

if in fainted stage u will wake up.

I think you answered your question somewhat already.it would depend on the reason the individual is unconcious to begin with.and if they do regain their conciousness.whose to say they would die then?

YOu got me wondering too.

it does depend on what type of unconsciousness you are in, the comatose person wont wake up, but the baseball bat person will

You'll never wake up

Normally you drown..
