HIV effects people differently, some people have it for more then 3 yrs and don't even know about it. Soon as you find out its better to get on the meds but some people don't want to be. But it could be progressing to AIDS faster then it would be if the person is being treated.
But the other issues is if they are having protected sex or not. If you know you have HIV and are having unprotected sex with people you could get into serious legal trouble.
Or you could get co infected with another strand of HIV which makes the whole thing worse.

If you have gone untreated for more than three years, you should be dead or you should die soon.
if you have this and the timelink you might really want to get to a health provider as quick as you can basicalley you if you have had this that time leagnth might really have set your life short as well it turning into other things but most of all if you have has sex with anyone without telling them that you have this you are in very big trouble laws have changed very much on this as well i really hope you dont have it this leangth of time is like a time bomb ticking ?
It atkes awhile for hiv to turn into aids but if you get treated it might be even longer before it turns into aids.
