CARBS. listen, ask your doctor about the insulin pump by medtronic mini-med. it saved my life and i feel like i am cured from that crazy disease. keep your head up

Other Answers:
Watch what you eat cut down on sugar high foods take your meds.

Buy a bunch of snacks that are sugar free. I know my problem is always eating junk food especially in between meals, so I stocked up on sugar free snacks. This way I can still have my "junk food" without all the "junk".

Loss weight put yourself on a very strict diet.My son wouldn't do this and is dead ,he had a heart attack caused by his diabetes at 46.

work with your doctor. if he seems not to help find another, the possibility of serious issues with your diabetes in the future are very real if you do not get a handle on it now.

I have diabetes and it is not easy.

If overweight, lose it no matter how hard because diabetes will kill you, not fast, but very slowly. First it makes you suffer beyond belief and that includes amputations of limbs, loss of kidneys, stomach problems where you can't hardly eat and get sick when you do. A lot more I am afraid.

Weight loss can actually make diabetes disappear in some cases, but in all cases it improves.

One way, I'm doing this, and it's working, to help control my diabetes is to eliminate almost all refined sugar from the diet and drink water, or herbal teas, not artificially flavored drinks. Coffee or a little regular black or green tea is also fine.

Eliminating refined sugar eliminates most package foods so it means healthy food from scratch.

By the way, the diet helps you lose weight, even though you eat enough to satisfy your appetite and also helps with problems like allergy and more. All around you feel and are better.

I watched my friend deteriorate slowly from diabetes complications and finally die after long term suffering, it was horrible. I would never wish that on my worst enemy. Take care of yourself.

Get on an Insulin Pump.it rocks. Smooths out your highs and lows. You will wish you did it sooner.

Listen very carefully to the guy telling you about carbs. Remember carbs=glucose. My dear sweet wife bought some sugar free candy for me to have a treat. I flipped the package to check the nutrition panel. Would you believe, for the same size pieces and the same number of pieces, in other words ounce for ounce the candy with sugar was lower in carbs than the candy without. Just because it is sugar free doesn't mean it is diabetic friendly.

I probably shouldn't say this but right now I am in the same condition you are. My sugar is higher than I want it and as a result I am getting very depressed. Intellectually I know many of these conditions feed on each other but knowing doesn't help me very much.

My health care people want me to eat 45 - 75 carbs per meal. Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you. I am going to put your question on my watch list in case someone comes up with something I haven't heard about yet.

I really want to wish you good luck on finding something that works for you.

Limit your carbs when you eat and eat small amounts of fat and protein like a tablespoon of peanut butter, or some cheese and/or meat. No carbs, just protein and fat

Try to exercise like walking or bicycling. This type of exercise has a longer hypoglycemic effect that will help your blood glucose levels keep down

Also talk to the doctor about maybe changing meds, I changed to avandia along with insulin and for the past few months I have gone from being high sugar to almost normal range.
