How did you learn to use free weights?!
Question:
I'm moving out of state and wont be using a gym until I get settled. I can't afford a personal trainer and I've tried doing the workouts in the magazines but I'm afraid my form is off and it's a pain to read and try to work out. I only use the machines at my gym right now and I want to be able to use free weights at home once my membership is cancelled.
Any good ways to learn? Any workout videos you'd recommend?
Answers:
Free weights are a very good way to tone and build muscle. Start light and slowly (that is SLOWLY!!) increase the weight. Go on line and visit http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/strengthtraining/a/usingfreeweight.htm
You'll find good advice at this site.
Happy lifting and when you are ready we'll have to arm wrestle!

Check out EAS.com. They have some hints. Just practice with light weight at first so you get your form.
you don't need a trainer. I am a amatuer body builder and i have never really used a trainer. The best way to learn how to use wieghts is trial and error. Just start working out and do what ever you think works the best. If something don't work then try something diffrent.
