Is poison oak contagious?!

To a certain extent, yes, but then again, not really.

When you have poison oak, the sores can ooze oils that will spread it.Hot showers will cause the oils to spread around your body, and expand the poison oak on you. If someone else were to touch these oils, in theory, they could get poison oak themselves.

However, just sitting next to you, they won't catch it.
