Your doctor can prescribe iron, either in tablet or liquid form. Also stout beer is good to build up the blood.

Eat a protein rich diet, tuna, beef(although chemo makes beef taste weird for some) chicken, cheese. Also liquid supplements are full of vitamins but i know they don't always taste the best. Lots of rest and moderate exercise is good too. Good luck.

I just finished chemo a few weeks ago & my doctor told me to get plenty of rest, taking walks,& eating as much protien as I can.Soybeans, beans(navy, pinto & kidney),white fish, milk, yougurt, cheese, egg & peanut butter are very good sources of protein. If you have to do radiation next, your doctor should give you a chart with how many grams of protein you will need to keep up your count.

If you are on Chemo they have injections they give you to build up your white blood cells to fight off infection and an injection to also build up your red blood cells so you don't get anemia and run down and have to get blood transfusions. Also I think the doctor may be able to give you some good advice about nutrition and vitamins.
