Has anyone ever had their ear drum rupture, and if so did your hearing come back!

Question:
My ear drum ruptured due to pressure from an ear infection. Now I am waiting for it to heal, but I only have 25% hearing function out of that ear at the moment. I would like to hear from someone who has had a similar experience. Did your hearing come back and how long did it take?
Answers:
It'll prob get better in a few weeks, but maybe not to 100%.

I had lots of ear problems as a youngin' and now am about 70% deaf in my right ear. :(

I had mine ruptured back in highschool. I've had problems with it for years. My hearing is pretty good now.. Not the greatest. I just had to have tubes put back in this past year, it was pretty bad at that point, I had an ear infection, my hearing at that point was about 2 percent.. however, since the tubes it's back to right.

I actually had an RPG explode next to my left ear, caused it to rupture, and now I have whats called positional vertigo. However my hearing did return to nearly what it was before.

My ear drum ruptures when I was 18 for the same reason. I did get my hearing back after about 6 months. However, I continued to have problems with hearing in that ear and I am still recovering from surgery to replace 2 bones and my ear drum. My case is rare so please don't fret. You should be back to normal soon!

Clean it with peroxide helps.

I am just curious what do u hear when it ruptures
