A hickey is a mark on the neck or chest area caused by a lover sucking on that area and using teeth. It is a ridiculous thing to do in this day and age because with bacteria in the mouth a person could get an infection if bitten and the bitee could catch something to. I think it was done initially to put an ownership mark on the female.
If you use teeth to make a hickey, you're doing it wrong. A hickey is a bruise made by suction.
