That would depend upon how hairy her legs are, and how noticeable it is. As a rule, not younger than 13--unless the child is getting made fun of because she has a lot of noticeable hair. Not necessary for young girls to shave in the winter when wearing long pants, but maybe younger in the summer with shorts and swimsuits.

I was 10, and I did it without permission. I think it should be up to the girl when she's ready. I had very dark hair on my legs, so I shaved it at an early age.
How old are you? I started shaving my legs when my mom told me that it was time. (I have dark hairk, and I was starting to look like the hairy monster). I think I must have been about 11 or 12. But if I had light hair, and it was hardly showing, I wouldn't shave. It's such an anoying pain.
If you're hairy, then start shaving at around 12 (that's when I started), but try to just do the legs. Don't do the arms unless u REALLY have to. I shaved my arms at 12 even tho I didn't need to. Remember that ur hair will eventually grow back thicker and u can never make it thinner again, so be careful about when u start.

I was 12, but I had REAL hairy legs and think I should have been allowed to do them when they became a social embaressment. I was actually teased about them. I think 12 is still good, but if a child has a physical feature that causes them emotional pain, and if it's as simple to resolve by allowing them to shave their legs a year or two earlier than what was planned, then so be it. I think we need to keep in mind that things change with puberty, and that girls experience it at different times, and that leg hair changes from peach fuzz to HAIR then. That's when at the latest.

The time for shaving your legs is the time when your pubic hair are seen on your vagina. Leg hair grow simultaneously when your pubic hair grow. OK?
I was 12, however I think when she reaches a teen. Each girl is going to be different. I happened to be a very hairy girl (took after my dad!!) So, I begged my mom to let me start shaving my legs. She finally did. Now I wish I would have never started!!
