I used to wrap my hair around my head when wet and put on a tight scarf to keep it smooth. Go to sleep and in morning it was smooth. the more I did it the better it stayed. I had tried ironing but bad on hair. My favorite thing is my blow dryer with comb and brush attachments.I dry a section at a time. I just stop short of fully dry. Condition well at shampoo leaving on for a while before rinsing. The longer my hair is the better it handles. I stay away from short hair styles. Chemicals I just do not like I think there are relaxers such as Toni used to make some still might. The type course or fine will also determine results.

A ceramic straightening iron. Revlon has some good affordable ones. You have to do mini sections, no more than 1 inch at a time but it is worth it. See my pic, I have curly coarse hair:)
Be sure to always use conditioner. When your hair is moisturized, it will be smoother and easier to tame.Then find products that are made especially for straight hair styles.Then you can either blow dry your hair straight by drying it in layers with a paddle brush or you can straighten it with a flat iron.
