i have problems sleeping! help me?!


Question:
i have problems going to sleep at night does any body have any ideas that will help me to fall asleep and stay asleep for the night ? when i do sleep i tend to wake up early for no reason any ideas please help !

The number one thing is to not watch TV in bed. It disrupts sleep cycles. Avoid caffeine, sugar and high calorie foods a few hours before bedtime, but then again don't try to sleep on an empty stomach. A bowl of cereal or a glass of milk does the trick for me.

Read anything novel, syory book etc it will help you.

Don't exercisse before going to bed, leave it for earlier in the day.

Watch your caffine intake, including chocolate, tea, coke.

Try some natural remedies like 5HTP, tryptophan, melantonin, valerian.

Have a nice warm bath before retiring, read a book that is boring.

hot chocolate does it for me puts me in a deep sleep. Try a few things and see what will work for you.

have a cup of milk before going to sleep..otherwise have some fruits before going to bed like banana.otherwise take a bath in hot water and then go to bed..you will sleep for more hours than you really want to.

Here are some concrete suggestions to facilitate nighttime renewal:
-Absolutely no work station in the bedroom.
-Try to go to sleep the same time every night and wake up the same time in the morning. Create a habit.
-Create a bedtime ritual like a bath and moisturizing lotion, or listen to inspirational music. Meditate.
-Absolutely no late night news shows!
-Try your grandmother’s remedy- warm milk and crackers—they work! So do bananas, yogurt, figs and of course, turkey.
-Avoid sugar, spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, alcohol and of course, caffeine. Some of us should not have coffee past noon.
-Exercise large muscle groups in the daytime. Walking is excellent. Do not exercise close to bedtime as you will feel over-stimulated by your endorphins and your increased body temperature. Instead, try stretching exercises before bedtime as these are relaxing.
-Cool down the room and lower the shades. Make sure the room is dark and does not let in the early morning sun.
-I saved the best for last: Have sex. It releases melatonin to help you sleep.

In this situation what I do is:
1- Reduce the amount of coeffee/tea (last cup 6 to 7 hrs before)
2- Drink lightly hot milk (45 minutes) before sleeping (I found it very useful for sleep)
3- Washing hands, face and feet (and if possible a bath)
4- While at bed, close my eyes, concentrate on my breath and i dont let my brain to think something else!

Insomnia, ( not being able to sleep ), comes from many reasons, mainly these 3.

If you drink coffee or tea or eat chocolate before you sleep this will cause insomnia, try not to have them at least 2 hours before you sleep.

Another cause is stress, if you have a lot of things on your mind this will disturb your sleep. Try not to think of work or expenses before you sleep, try watching a nice movie, not war or crime or martial arts.

The most important is your health try seeing a specialist, you might be having some minor disorder.
