How do you resolve insomnia ? I have so much stress I cant sleep ! help plz?!

When you are under a lot of stress, that causes your cortisol level to go up. Cortisol is a hormone secreted by the adrenal cortex in association with the stress response. This causes many of your body systems to become imbalanced , namely, your pineal gland (which is located near the Thalamus in the brain) is having a hard time manufacturing the hormone, melatonin, of which your body needs to promote a sound sleep. Stress can be caused by a number of things first you have to define your problems and work through possibilities to make them feel more controlable.

Try this.

Lay on you back VERY still. (don't move after you get comfortable)

In your head, count down from 100, one number each time you exhale.

Breath slow, focus on your breathing and your counting.

Between each counting, say to yourself that you can feel your energy draining as you count down.

(IE: The power is rushing out of hands now. The power is rushing out of my face now. ect.)

GO TO THE DOCTOR! lol. sorry but yeah, that is probably the best way to get it fixed. They might preform a few tests and give you something to help you sleep. If you are leary about the doctor, try warm milk. Also, don't drink anything caffinated (i.e. Soda/pop coffee or anything of that sort) about 4 hours before going to bed. Seeing a doctor would be the best bet.

Please, stay away from medication if at all possible!Instead, buy a .5 ounce of pure essential lavender oil and drop no more than 3 drops per side on your pillowcase. It'll work! Costs about $10 and will last you months. It's really worth trying. It's what I use and have used for years. . .and with good reason! Good luck!

If you get rid of the stress, you get rid of the Insomnia.
