No that is not okay. If he needs to lose weight but because of his diabetic condition he needs to be really really careful he should see his doctor for the right medication if he needs help with a diet.
I wouldn't mix the two without talking to his doctor because alot of things in a diet pill can cause a reaction when mixed with other meds. Tell him not to take it until he has talked to his doctor and tell the doctor which pill it is.
you MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST read the ingrediants and then ask his primary doctor..if he dosen't have one you could call your local pharmacy or the hospital..

Most of my family is diabetic, I recommend working out daily and controlling what nutrients you take in. My Grandfather lost 30 pounds recently, he had no other choice.
Holly Molly-NO! Alot of pills contain fructose and other sugars. Not to mention caffeen. This could end this man up in the hospital! Do not mess with diabtese ever! Any kind of shock may result in a coma type state. Wow, do not take chances like that uless he does not care what he is doing to himself, but hopefuly you do!
ask a doctor frst but i would reccomend to try to avoid medication! tell him to go for long walks and eat low sugar foods or sugar free
if u research u can even find sugar free chocolates.
but after that it's better if a doctor deciedes
