if there were a tapeworm egg in your food could youget a tapeworm?!

Question:

Answers:
tapeworm's don't have eggs. you know how they have all those little segments? when its time to "procreate" they just drop one of those segments. it works through the intestines and comes out through your solid waste then (hopefully) gets picked up again to be consumed in another form thereby infecting another living creature with a tapeworm.
now aren't you happy you asked that question?

whats with the two questions on tape worms!! just ask us what you really want to know!

yes you could.

with the image you've put in my head, I'm starting to wish tapeworms upon you.

yes; multiple ones

If you cook your food properly it will kill any tapeworms or other things in it.

yes indeed you can, as the tape worm happily grows inside your intestine, gradually depriving you of your nutrients.

Many people get it not just from food, but from their pets, in particular dogs.

most dogs and cats get tapeworm, which the pick up from other animals and generally outside. So if a dog o cat licks you, you can get too. That is one of the reasons why you should never allow a pet to lick you in or near your face and always wash your hands after touching a pet.

Yes, you can. The eggs will/can hatch and you have tape worms. Several years ago in a small town in Illinois, my aunt went to a doctor that "specialized" in weight reduction. He gave out pills that he guaranteed would make you lose weight. My aunt went to him, and after taking the pills he gave her, she started losing weight. Then after a while started feeling really sick. Went to another doctor and they found out she had tape worms. Then she found out the other people that had went to that "specialist" for losing weight that took those pills, all had tape worms. The health department got some of the pills and tested them and they contained tape worm eggs. My aunt was lucky and went to a good doctor in time, some women came very close to dieing.

I saw an eggsack from a tapeworm crawl out of my cats butt one day. The thing had muscle constractions or something that allowed it to move and work it's way out the a n u s. It's one of the grossest things I have ever witnessed in my life.

yes and it can live in there for a long time and hmm reproduce :s
