Assembling an Italian charm bracelet?!

It is possible to start an Italian charm bracelet by just ordering a bunch of charms? Do I HAVE to buy a starter bracelet for it to work?

Yes it is possible to start a charm braclet without a starter braclet.
All you need is 2 charms to start which you can connect the same as you would the starter braclet.
Take the first charm and slide open one end of it and the second charm should hook in with no problem. Just continue to open the charms you want to add on and hook them onto the "braclet" already in progress until you get the size you want.
Beware though, sliding the charms and holding onto them is heck on nails. Broke more doing that then actual heavy duty work.
