Why do people get so upset when others do well or get away with something?!
Question:
ex. someone speeds by and you hope they get a ticket yet we all have sped before or you hear that someone you dont work with gets a big raise and your raise was smaller. Why cant people just be happy with themselves?

People are easily made jealous and envious by other people's success.

I personally only have issues with those who come by things dishonestly or by abusing the system.

Jealousy is an evil evil thing.
Because at the time these things happening we, being human, get jealous of others and what they may be doing or not doing. Being happy with ones self takes a lot of work. And it's more work than some of us want to go through.
that's because their jealous are maybe they wanna be like you are you have something they want
Plain ol' human nature.
I am happy with my self. How ever when some one gets away with something illegal or supposedly not allowed that no one should it dose tick me off. How ever when some one works hard and deserves the props they get more power to them.
i get upset when ppl get away with things due to their appearance. i am ugly and i have to work hard for what i get and to get the trust. no like the blah-ers :(
I don't like to see someone get away with something when I am following the rules. That's why I laugh when I see someone that's sped by me get a ticket.
People have a way of feeling that they should get whatever someone else gets in the interest of fairness. It is human nature I guess.
Its american human nature to compare yourself to others and evaluate yourself according to others. Really we all have our own life plan set out for us with different lessons to learn. Some really good people are not meant to be wealthy while some jerk is. Sometimes there seems to be no karma, no rhyme or reason but i believe there is a reason for everything and later we will know what that is. But the best way to prosper or whatever is to be genuinely happy for someone elses good fortune.
