how many pairs of socks should someone have?!

i'm kinda going through a cleaning phase getting ready for the new baby and making room. My fiance and i have a whole bunch of sox and i was just wondering how many was normal for a person to have? guy? girl?

I personally have like twenty pairs. I can never have enough socks.
I guess as many as you really need, so long as they're not holey and mismatched (That's the worst!)

you should keep at least seven good pairs, and two ok ones so if you dont get to the laundry this week ! not to worry.

It depends.
For a single guy: 2 pairs. These will last for 8 days. Wearing one on each foot the 1st day, switching feet the 2nd day, turining them inside out for the 3rd day, and switching feet for the 4th day. Start with clean pair on the 5th day, and wash the old pair in the bathroom sink.
For the married man - 8 pairs
for the single woman - 32 pairs
for the married woman - 2 pairs
I HAVE SEVEN PAIR
7 pairs for a week and use one new on everyday
