i heard.?!

Question:
i heard that there is a difference in meaning between cutting (SI) your self vertically and cutting horizontally (on wrists). what is the difference?? (besides the typical answer of 'the difference is which way the cuts are going)
Answers:
A cut across the wrist/vein can be repaired and the bleeding can be stopped if caught in time. A slice up the vein causes too much damage for repair.

Neither is the thing to do and if your even having thought like this I beg you to talk w/someone!

I hope you are not going to do this. Shame on you

Uh, why do you want to cut yourself? You should probably seek medical attention.

If you're committing suicide, you're supposed to do it down the wrists (vertically, I guess). Horizontally, it doesn't open the vein enough or something.

I saw the wrists of someone who did it the wrong way.

Even if your not thinking of doing this, someone else could read this and the answers and try it, please think about that. :-)
