is it possible to change the timing of your period by not taking your pills?!

Question:
if i want to make it so that my period starts and ends a few days earlier, can i stop taking active pills when i have 2 or 3 left, throw them out, take the placebo's, and then start a new pack?
Answers:
That would work based on the timing you describe. Stopping too early in the pill pack would increase your risk of pregnancy. Two or three days should not be risky.

The alternative is to take your pills continuously and postpone your cycle for a month.

Other Answers:
No that has no effect on when your periods start or end.

Yes and when you get pregnant that will stop your period.

some say yes I don't know

I don't really understand the pills because I was always forgetting to take them so I decided to start using nuva ring. I love it and if I wanted my period later then I will leave the ring in a couple days more. I think the ring is less complicated.

yes but you will end up pregnant. your best bet is to take them as directed. There is a new kind of birth control though where you only have your period once every three months.

There are ways to alter it. The safest way is to seek a dr's adviuce
