Question:
History: rickets when pre-schooler; anxiety attacks, hysterectomy in '79, pain in joints, muscles, burning in skin and muscles, pin pricking sensation all over when coughing hard. I have been told I have depression but do not feel repressed except when I am in pain.
Answers:
I know everyone tells you this, but I really think you should speak to your physician to talk about your medical problems as your question has a complex answer. Depression is a serious problem that many people overlook. Don't overlook it, don't ignore it make contact with your doctor VERY SOON. There are well meaning people online who want to help, but the best thing to do is to seek medical attention.

Please, don't put your health in the hands of an amateur forum. Respect your mind and body. Consult your doctor.

both. many people who are diagnosed with depression often end up in pain, ex.. migraines, constant body ache, etc. And many people who have pain often end up with depression. They go hand in hand in many ways, and its hard to treat just one and wipe out both, so it's best to consult a dr, or psychiatrist, or both, explain your concerns and they will offer the best advice!

I am so sorry. These are painful diseases.

I myself have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, and I get very depressed sometimes. Mostly, I think it's because I cannot do many of the things I used to do, due to chronic pain and physical limitations.

Something that has REALLY helped me is changing my diet. In doing so, I've been able to greatly reduce my depression, my meds, and my pain.

Basically I have stopped eating all sugars, grains, and anything processed, including coffee. It has not been easy, but it's made such a difference!
