running works great for this

You can't pick a specific area to lose fat from. You have to get rid of the over all fat content in your entire body to lose it.

Cycling
Rollerblading
Walking
Running
Climbing stairs
Calve raises

Toodles

Take the calves out for a walk everyday unless their mum moos for them. Sorry sleep deprived. Just joking.

aerobic exercise is the best way to burn any fat. plus add some calf raises to your workout regime.

diet and exercise.
if you want to slim down your calves - pilates is the only exercise that worked for me. Alternate it with 30 mins. cardio 3x a week.

Running would be the best for this

Liposuction is the only way to spot-reduce fat. Think of your body's fat stores as a single entity, the only way to lose fat is to create a caloric deficit for your body. Start slow so that you don't wreck your metabolism. No more than 250-500 calories under maintenance depending on your current stats and activity levels.

In general we tend to lose weight first from the last place it got added on.

What's wrong with you? I don't know what I would I lvoe more, me finally an exercise that actually makes have big calves, or a guy with calves. I love a guy wearing shorts with big calves even if they are fat, calves rock.

there is a great machine that most gyms have that targets the legs, including calves. is not strenuous at all. or for a more cost effective workout you can walk not run up and down stairs. up is more of a workout. so if you want instead of walking down take the elevator down and walk up again. a good pair of shoes should relieve so stress on the knees.

You don't lose it in your cankles (calves go down to your ankles), unless you can loose weight everywhere first. You may just have large soleus muscles if you are thin. If so, try to build your gastrocnemis muscles with toes raises standing. Don't exercise them in the sitting position with your legs bent as your soleus muscles will continue to get larger.
