I suffer on and off from them too. I find suppositories work well, as does washing with soap and water every time you go to the toilet.

Use preparation H this will shrink the size a little and also help with the pain and itching. If it gets any worse then you should go to the doctor because this can lead to rectal cancer. If you have any signs such as a lot of bleeding or coffeeground type of feces then you need to get to the doctor as soon as possible. Hope that this helps.

Apply ice packs to stem any bleeding. Put some Pottassium Permanganate in saline warm water in a round tub and sit in the water for about 20 minutes. Do this at least three times a day. This will relieve pain and anguish. There is a cure for piles without surgery in Homoepathy - but the treatment process could take a few months. Surgery is a quick fix solution but there is no guarantee the piles will not recur. If you think you can manage the anguish for a few months, take homoepathy drugs. I can suggest you some. There are several things a doctor can do in clinic that wont require you going into an operation of having a sedative/aneasthetic. One of them is having the piles banded around their base and eventually removed or the doctor can cauterise them (dont worry you have suprisingly little sensation within your bowels). They can also inject the piles with substances to help reduce them. Go speak to your GP about it and ask if they will refer you to a local gastroenterologist.

Some say ice thm but when i get them its better to take a hot bath with no soap also the doctor can give you a supository that works very well
