Does low thyroid run in familys? My mother had low thyroid and so does my brothe!

I was wondering because it seems like I keep gaining weight for no reason and I am cold all the time. I was just curious if it could be inherited.

yes some causes of hypothyroidism are auto immune diseases which mean it can run in families why don't you go to the doctor and check the level of your hormone its better to know
