One time use - probably not, but if you continually have the inks of either a ballpoint pen or permanent marker it can be very hazardous to your skin. Most of, if not all of these kinds of writing utinsels are non-toxic, but the application onto the skin can cause the dyes to seep into your body and interact or counteract the oils your skin secretes. In any regard, it can lead to skin infections or other conditions of the skin because of the millions of tiny pores present on your body. Each pore can lead to a sweat gland or a root of a hair follicle - and no matter where it leads, it can infect these pores. I dont think it has ever been studied before, but I think that if it is continuously applied - medical problems can develop. For the most accurate information - contact a local dermatologist, who is a medical doctor specializing in conditions of the skin.
