how long do kids live when they have autism?!

Question:
like what is the oldest living person with autism .. .and what is the life expentacy ?
Answers:
Autism is not generally associated with any medical problems (except epilepsy) and thus one's prognosis is just the same as any other person. They do have higher risk factors for other psychopathologies such as depression however, which in it self is a risk factor for suicide. But this is very very rare, so overall I would say their lifespan is the same as anyone elses.

Other Answers:
I don't know who the longest autistic person was, but i know that autism people live to up to their 40's.

Autistic people can live full lives. The real key to this is quality of life. They have trouble communicating because their auditory functions are incorrect. There is some link to tone/pitch with musical instruments. Mainly the piano or harp. They have new equipment out now to help them communicate. It's like a keyboard that talks for them when they press the keys. I just wish they would market more of them.

There is nothing life threatening about having autism, so they would have the same life expectancy as we 'normal' people do.
